Rain washes away all PCC Junior and Senior matches across Auckland |
|
With rain sweeping across Auckland last Saturday, no Papatoetoe teams were able to get on the field. However, with nothing but sunshine in the forecast for this Saturday and only a few weekends left, all teams will be wanting to get out there and finish their season's on a high. - Premier Men need to win this Saturday against Suburbs New Lynn to get into the top four and ensure their last match will be a home round.
- Premier Women will be looking to finish their season on a high with a win against Parnell at home with only two games to go.
- The Premier Reserve Men will also be looking for a win over East Coast Bays at Windsor Park this weekend to secure a spot in the top four.
- The Premier Reserve Women will also be looking to finish their season off on a high with a win against Howick Pakuranga at Lloyd Elsmore Park.
For all other fixtures, please see 'Upcoming Fixtures' section below. |

Senior Prizegiving Nominations |
|
Attention: All Senior Team Captains
What the committee requires from you is to get together with your management team and discuss who deserves the recognition for an outstanding season! Each team (yes that's right, EVERY team!) will have two categories of trophies presented (so we would like to most of you there!!) Attached is a nomination form which needs to be filled in and sent to papcricketoffice@gmail.comby Sunday 24th March at the latest!
There are two parts to this form that need to be filled out: - Team Awards which is your Mr/Miss Cricket (based on stats) and a Most Valuable Player (attitude and contribution).
- Club Man of the Year Award/Mike Reidy Memorial Trophy (this award is a combination of performance and attitude) you will nominate the person who has contributed in all areas of cricket on and off the field – this person will go up against the nominees from every team and will be selected by the committee based on your nomination statement (with the winner having their statement read out at prizegiving). We ask that you really put a lot of thought into the nomination and let us (and everyone) know why this person deserves to be recognised.
There will be other committee awards presented on the evening as well as the 100’s Club and the Bowling 5+ Wicket presentation. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are 2 weeks left to get all your stats into Cric HQ!!! This is super important as this is what the committee uses to check statistics and ultimately decide performance trophies on. If you think your players have smashed this season out the park please please please make sure their stats are entered. Can you please indicate roughly how many from your team will attend prizegiving in the next couple of weeks for catering purposes. |
