| Day one was abandoned for the Premier Men on Saturday. Fortunately, there is nothing but sunshine forecasted for this Saturday so come along and see how day two unfolds against Auckland University here at home! |

After a lengthy wait for the rain to stop and bowler's run-ups to dry, the toss for a 35-over match was finally underway at 1 pm on Cornwall's number three. Papatoetoe's losing-the-toss streak continued with the home side electing to field first. Pap's batting innings started off well with a 50-run opening stand between Kolotita Nonu Lui and Tess Hickson before the partnership was broken with Nonu Lui out caught in the 13th over. Papatoetoe found themselves in a little bit of trouble with Regina Lilii and Lily Mulivai only making single digits while Hickson went on to make 56 runs before going out caught in the 22nd over with the team on 87-4. However, Lagi Telea (19) and Feala Vaelua managed to salvage the innings putting on an 81-run partnership including a maiden half-century for Vaelua smashing 59 runs off only 34 balls including 6 fours and 4 sixes! The team went on to post a respectable 180-8 off their 35 overs.
With a decent total to defend, the team had the perfect start with Mulivai removing Cornwall opener, Annie Ewart for a golden duck in only the second ball of the innings with a great catch at gully by Taofi Lafai. However, Saachi Shahri (16) and Clair Crooks (40) put on a 67-run partnership before it was finally broken with Vaelua trapping Shahri lbw in front in the twelfth over. Lafai then came into the attack removing Emma Fulbrook and Tariel Lamb soon after to have Cornwall reeling at 90-5 and momentum well and truly in Papatoetoe's favour. However, Cornwall's Bella Armstrong had other plans as she dominated Papatoetoe's bowling attack to produce a winning knock of 81 runs off only 54 balls including 10 fours and 4 sixes to see her team through to victory in the 28th over with three wickets in hand.

Who: Open to all life members, past and present players, and supporters
What: The Club is holding an event for all of the club's past and present players to get together and support our Premier Men who will be playing Day One of their two-day match against Suburbs New Lynn. The bar will be open from 3pm for an opportunity for the supporters to view the match from the comfort of the Kolmar lounge. So get along to the club and catch up with some old mates while supporting our Club teams. |

- Coaching Corner - Coaching/Umpiring/Scoring Qualifications
|
|
Foundation Course (an email address is required for initial registration) - this course is a requirement to coach all soft ball and tennis ball grades and can be completed all online.
Advanced Foundation Course - the Foundation Course is a pre-requisite for this and involves theory as well as practical components. This is a requirement to coach all junior boys (U19 and below) and girls (U16 and below) grades.
