In another game where spin featured heavily, North Shore took first innings points at Papatoetoe. Continuing from last week, Josh Plummer (63) did the bulk of Papatoetoe’s early scoring before Tendai Chitongo (4-57) and Ronnie Hira (3-57) sparked a collapse that would eventually settle first innings points.In the space of seven deliveries, Papatoetoe fell from 77/1 to 77/4. The North Shore spin duo didn’t stop there as Papatoetoe fell into further trouble going to lunch at 133/7. Logan Clark (63) and Luke Istead (42) added 72 runs for the eighth wicket soaking up precious time before the Shore seamers came back to wrap up the tail. With Papatoetoe following on, Angus Nicoll (3-24) played a big part in reducing the hosts to 47/5 only for Stephen Money (59*) and Shane Setia (27*) to bat 26 overs and through to safety.
