Our U15 Girls team to meet the White Ferns at T20 World Cup Farewell event! |
|
When: Thursday 1 November Team to arrive at 12pm, depart at 2.30pm Where: ANZ Centre, Ground Floor Pavilion, 23-26 Albert Street, Auckland
What is this about: ANZ runs a grants programme for grassroots cricket, which is called “On your team”. Our U15 Girls from last season were put forward to ANZ, among other junior girls teams across Auckland, where the chosen team would get the opportunity to meet the White Ferns as well as receive some new gear and apparel from ANZ. I'm excited to confirm that our very own Papatoetoe U15 Girls team from last season is the lucky team that has been chosen!
The girls will meet the White Ferns at a farewell that ANZ is hosting for the team before they head off to the T20 World Cup. Our U15 Girls will also get to present each of the White Ferns with a pounamu which we are gifting the players as a symbol of the country’s support. About 120 people will attend the event, including media who will talk to the White Ferns. Media may also want to talk to the girls about their experience and their own personal cricket story.
Very exciting! So be sure to tune into the news on November 1st! |
