Hi All, I trust everyone is well and managing the lockdown period as best you can. The purpose of the memo is to bring you up to date with what is happening at the Club as much as I can.
Given Covid-19’s impact on so many parts of our lives, it is hard to pin down actual dates for activities going into the near future. The Alert level matrix indicates that there is very little the Club and its members can do while we are at level 4. My personal view is that Kolmar Centre will also not be able to open when/if we go to level 3. On April 20, the Prime Minister and Director of Health will announce the details and projected dates for any changes in the lockdown situation for us. At that point, we should know quite a bit more about what we can and can’t do. Therefore, we all just need to wait until we know more about the conditions we must continue to adhere to.
In the meantime, The Club is planning for life after lockdown.
The Management Committee has selected seven key areas that require some planning. Each section has a person in a lead role. If you want to assist in mapping out the future of the Club heading into this season, contact either the lead person or me to get involved.
Congratulations!!!
Well done to both the 1B Black Leopards and the 1C All Stars that won their respective grades. A fantastic effort by the players in both teams. There are clearly some very good cricketers in our One Day Grades so I take a lot of pleasure in seeing these very special results.
Winter Program/Academy
This will take place again from probably mid-June. A start time depends on when Kolmar is clear to begin usual operations after a clearance for Covid-19. It is likely that there will be three programmes.
-
Midgets and Sprite year 1-5
-
Junior and youth hardball year 6-10
-
Senior squads’ men and women.
Dates and conditions to be confirmed.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM is set down for a Saturday in June. This will be confirmed in the next newsletter so that we can factor in any covid 19 conditions.
Prizegivings
It is intended to run both the senior and junior prizegiving prior to the AGM. Much of that again depends on what we are allowed to do around Covid-19 conditions.
The Club will try to get as much relevant and timely information to you as we can. Please check your emails and read the newsletter, and pass the information on to those that might otherwise not get the updates
Take care, stay home and keep well,
Regards,
Garry Wood
