FIRST GAMES OF THE SEASON

UPCOMING CLUB EVENTS
27th October: Past and Present Players and Supporters afternoon
When: Saturday, 27th October, from 3pm
Where: Kolmar upstairs
Who: Open to all life members, past and present players, and supporters

What: The Club is holding a past and present players and supporters afternoon which will coincide with a one day match at home for both the Premier men’s and Reserve men’s sides. The bar will be open from 3pm for an opportunity for the supporters to view both matches from the comfort of the Kolmar lounge. So make an effort to get along and catch up with some old mates while supporting our Club teams, the players do appreciate it.
CLUB TRAININGS
Junior Midget Friday Nights!
When: Every Friday night from 4.45pm to 6pm starting 7th September
Where: Kolmar Indoor Centre
Who: Open to all Year 3 to Year 6 school-aged children of all skill levels 
What: Skills plus modified games for beginners and children transitioning to hard ball. 
Training for Premier Men and Premier Reserves
When: 6pm to 8pm every Tuesday and Thursday night
Where: Kolmar Indoor Centre 
Training for Premier Women and Reserves
When: 6pm to 8pm every Monday night (and Wednesdays outside from 24th October)
Where: Kolmar Indoor Centre 
Training for all Senior Men Open Grades has started!
When: 2pm to 4pm every Saturday from 8th September until the start of the season (except 22nd September)
Where: Kolmar Indoor Centre 
Who: Open to all senior men who play in the open men's grades
What: Pre-season training with Garry Wood
Training for all Junior Boys (hard ball) will start on 25th September!
When: Tuesday 4.30 - 6pm (Year 5/6/7 boys) and Thursday 4.30pm - 6pm (Year 8/9/10 boys)
Where: Kolmar Indoor Centre 
Training for all Junior Girls (hard ball) will start on 8th October!
When: Mondays 4pm - 5.30pm (U13 girls) and Wednesdays 4pm - 5.30pm (U16 girls)
Where: Kolmar Indoor Centre

With the season fast-approaching, it is important that we get all players registered before the season kicks off as this is a requirement from NZC. So, if you haven't already registered, please do so ASAP using the 'REGISTER ONLINE' button above! If you have any questions around this, please contact papatoetoecricket@kolmar.org.nz.

Alternatively, download a registration form below and pop along to one of our registration days noted on the poster below. 
There will also be a Juniors Orientation Evening on Wednesday 10th October from 6pm – 7pm to welcome all our junior members, friends and family to the club and to kick off the new season! All junior members will also be given a player pack as part of their subscriptions which will be handed out on the evening.

Coaching Corner - Coaching/Umpiring/Scoring Qualifications
  • Foundation Course (an email address is required for initial registration) - this course is a requirement to coach all soft ball and tennis ball grades and can be completed all online.
  • Advanced Foundation Course - the Foundation Course is a pre-requisite for this and involves theory as well as practical components. This is a requirement to coach all junior boys (U19 and below) and girls (U16 and below) grades.
  • Umpiring and Scoring modules 
New Junior Playing Conditions and Formats for the 2018/19 Season!
The upcoming 2018/19 will see a lot of changes to the Junior Grades' playing conditions and formats so if you or your child are involved, we would suggest starting to get familiar with them now. There is also the exciting introduction of soft ball (incrediball) and tennis ball carnival cricket for both junior girls, social women, and junior boys.

With the 2018/19 season fast approaching and plenty of cricket across our junior grades, we are looking for anyone (e.g. parents, teachers, aunties, uncles, past players etc. ) who is interested in helping with:
  • coaching
  • managing
  • scoring
  • umpiring
